Israel Crisis Grants
While the Righteous Persons Foundation does not normally make grants outside of the United States, there have been two exceptions. In 2002, Steven Spielberg pledged $1,000,000 to be distributed over four years to organizations working in Israel to help alleviate the impact of the intifada on Israeli society. And more recently in 2006, Mr. Spielberg made a commitment of $1,000,000 to be distributed to Israeli organizations working to help all Israeli citizens affected by the war in Northern Israel.
