Description
Continuing RPF’s long history of preserving films from the Holocaust, this grant will support the ongoing collection of amateur films about life before, during, and after the Shoah. These films are critical to how we tell the history of the Holocaust as they make this larger narrative more personal—and often more accessible. Funding will allow USHMM archivists to travel the world collecting films that are in many cases on the brink of being discarded by family members who may not know the importance of the material they possess. All collected footage will be digitized.
