  • Description

As a result of COVID-19, many groups that directly engage Jewish young adults—from summer camps to campus groups—have had to cancel their scheduled programs. At the same time, the need for volunteers who can provide social services across the country continues to grow. Repair the World, alongside a coalition of 20 national Jewish communal partners, sees an opportunity to build a Jewish, youth-driven service movement that would 1) increase the capacity of nonprofits doing humanitarian relief work across the country, 2) inspire lifelong commitments to service as a Jewish value for a generation of young adults, and 3) be a powerful expression of Jewish life—for both the Jewish community and beyond. This project will begin with a 100-person fellowship this summer and evolve into a national campaign that engages hundreds of stipended fellows and tens of thousands of young adults, resulting in 100,000 acts of service in one year.
