This project builds on Reboot’s 14-year history and its recent partnership with IDEO, which brings together leading designers and great Jewish thinkers in developing ideas to engage Jews who are often disconnected from Jewish life. The first product will be Friday, an app that lets people participate in the tradition of Shabbat in a modern and poignant way. At the very highest level, the Friday app invites people to unplug, reflect, and connect with others. This work will be grounded in the understanding that people need to be truly welcomed into the Jewish community and that beauty and design matter.
